Fort Lee Guntzer Street Garage Opens

On May 10, our firm celebrated the opening of the new Guntzer Street parking facility in Fort Lee, NJ. The Guntzer Street facility provides 355 parking spaces in the garage and 252 spaces in the surrounding surface lot.  An office building adjacent to the garage that will provide space for the U.S. Post Office, Fort Lee Parking Authority, and Fort Lee Board of Education recently began construction. The new garage and office building are part of a significant wave of commercial, retail, and residential development in downtown Fort Lee.  Our firm performed parking consulting and structural engineering services for the project.

The Guntzer Street parking deck is part of the overall redevelopment of the Hudson Lights district. In addition to the garage, plans include the addition of significant residential, retail, and office space. Our firm designed the garage with provisions for future vertical and horizontal expansions to accommodate future parking demand as the community continues to expand. The garage will help to ensure the successful development of this growing district.
